creativity gets your noticed

Mike Delaney’s football choreography expertise was used in full force on this ambitious adidas campaign featuring Real Madrid’s Marcelo as protector of the training ground against a group of highly skilled young football players.

Mike worked closely with director Paul Geusebroek and the creative team from 72andSunny to bring the best out of all of the talent. Séan Garnier with his wealth of football street moves was also hired as Mike’s assistant.

The beautiful game

Netflix’s film featuring Micheal Ward and Bill Nighy told the story of a young ex footballer taking up the invite for the Homeless World Cup taking place in Rome.

With explosive football action throughout, there was a large demand for expert choreography to bring the action alive. Our team of Mike Delaney, Leif Müller and Martin Delaney worked on all sequences both in Rome and London.

Directed by Thea Sharrock and produced by Blueprint films.

uber

Indie Cowie starred as the hero freestyler hitting the moving target in Uber’s ‘One More Star’ campaign. Creatives from Wieden&Kennedy had a vision for an iconic shoot and director Albert Albert crafted each sequence together with our experienced football choreographer Mike Delaney.

Being one of the first professional football freestylers in the UK, Mike was the ideal candidate to help guide Indie through the action. His experience on set helped to put her at ease for the most challenging shots.

elevate your production

TIG production company led by Ollie Lister came to us with a desire to create an exciting new sports commercial featuring football, tennis and basketball.

Our talent base and a collaboration of casting with TIG provided the real sports talent needed for a shoot of this calibre.

With specialists in their disciplines, Luke Pattinson (tennis) and Sam Sure (basketball) worked alongside Mike Delaney as movement director to elevate the Sports action and choreography. Kieron McCann’s experience as sports training and football choreographer was invaluable on set for this shoot.

UNDER ARMOUR

When Underarmour came knocking for their shoot in collaboration with Sports Direct, the obvious choice for choreographer was Kieron McCann.

The aim was to feature Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in training mode with a mix of gym workouts and sprint training. Kieron’s calm and professional nature was an asset in helping Trent deliver all of the action needed.

SURE for MEN

Photographer Gray Hughes had Mike Delaney in mind from the outset when this brief came in for Sure deodorant. Mike tested the shots in the pre-light, ready for Ben Chilwell to come in and master the action.

Testing of the light and angles is a key part of preparing for the hero shots and once the player steps onto set, Mike is ready to talk them through the action and to paint a picture for them to visualise what is required. Mike’s attention to detail and rapport with both the photographer and the hero player is essential for elevating the shot.
Shot on location in central London.
